Chapter 5 Lab/Homework (Feb 26):

Type your answers. CITE SOURCES, WEB LINKS IN YOUR ANSWERS.

1.	Make a table or timeline showing the progession of
	data storage and processor speed.

2.	Will digital photography completely replace regular
 	photography?  The book states:
	"As yet, quality does not approach that of film, but
	the convenience for use in networks is unsurpassed."
	Research new technology and the future of digital
	photography. Explain why you do or don't think
	digital photographs will replace regular photographs
	in the future.

3.	Research congestion on the web. Find examples of congestion
	problems and solutions.  Describe the different ways this
	problem is addressed.

4.	Page 175 describes the Delay x Throughput Product.
	Read through the example given and write down the
	calculations. Provide three examples of your own.
	Include:

	- File size

	- Data link speed
	
	- Propagation rate

	- Transmission distance

	- Propogation Delay

	- Number of bits the host has trasmitted in that time.

	- Transmission Delay (File size / Data link speed)

	- Total time to transmit (Transmission Delay + Propogation Delay)
